Root Chakra
The root chakra is the first of the seven chakras in the human body, located at the base of the spine. It is also known as the Muladhara chakra in Sanskrit. The root chakra is associated with the feelings of safety, grounding, stability, and security, and it is believed to be responsible for our physical wellness, as well as our emotional balance. A balanced root chakra helps us to feel connected to our physical body, our environment, and the people around us, while an imbalanced root chakra can cause feelings of fear, anxiety, and insecurity.
Sacral Chakra
The sacral chakra, also known as the second chakra or Svadhisthana in Sanskrit, is located in the lower abdomen, just below the belly button. It is associated with emotions, creativity, and sexuality.
When the sacral chakra is balanced, you may experience feelings of passion, creativity, and joy. You may also have a healthy sexual appetite and feel comfortable expressing your emotions. However, if your sacral chakra is blocked or imbalanced, you may experience issues with sexuality, creativity, and emotions. This may manifest as a lack of libido, difficulty expressing your feelings, or feeling emotionally numb.
Solar Plexus Chakra
The solar plexus chakra, also known as the Manipura chakra, is the third chakra in the body's seven chakra system. This chakra is located in the abdominal region and is associated with personal power, self-confidence, and willpower. When this chakra is balanced, individuals possess a strong sense of self-esteem, are motivated, focused, and have a clear sense of direction in their lives. If the solar plexus chakra is blocked or unbalanced, individuals may experience feelings of insecurity, lack of confidence, and difficulty making decisions.
Heart Chakra
The heart chakra, also known as Anahata, is one of the seven chakras, or energy centers, in the human body according to Hindu tradition. It is located in the center of the chest and is associated with the colour green.
The heart chakra is believed to govern our ability to give and receive love, compassion, empathy, forgiveness, and inner peace. When this chakra is balanced, we feel balanced emotionally, have healthy relationships, and feel a deep sense of connection and gratitude towards ourselves and others. On the other hand, an imbalanced heart chakra can lead to issues such as fear of intimacy, jealousy, resentment, and difficulties in relationships.
Throat Chakra
The Throat Chakra, also known as the Vishuddha Chakra, is one of the seven major Chakras in the human body. It is located in the throat area, near the vocal cords, and is associated with communication, self-expression, and creativity.
A balanced Throat Chakra enables individuals to express themselves clearly and authentically, allowing for effective communication with others. This chakra is also linked with listening skills and the ability to receive information from others.
When the Throat Chakra is blocked or imbalanced, individuals may experience difficulties in communicating their thoughts and feelings, leading to misunderstandings and interpersonal issues. Physical symptoms associated with an imbalanced Throat Chakra may include a sore throat, voice loss, and other throat-related ailments.
Third Eye Chakra
The third eye chakra, also known as Ajna chakra, is one of the seven chakras in the human body according to Hindu and Buddhist traditions. It is located in the center of the forehead and is associated with intuition, psychic abilities, spiritual insight, and higher consciousness.
The third eye chakra is represented by the color indigo and is said to be the seat of consciousness that transcends time and space. When this chakra is balanced, it can lead to a deep sense of mental clarity, wisdom, and perception. However, an imbalance in the third eye chakra can lead to confusion, indecisiveness, and difficulties with perception and intuition.
Crown Chakra
The crown chakra, also known as Sahasrara, is the seventh and highest chakra present in our body’s energy system. It is located at the top of the head and is associated with spiritual enlightenment, higher consciousness, and a deeper understanding of the universe. The colour associated with this chakra is violet or white, and it is believed to govern our ability to connect with higher realms and spiritual beings.
When the crown chakra is balanced and healthy, it can help us find meaning and purpose in life, experience unity with all beings, and achieve a state of inner peace and contentment.
